Isle of Wight Ferries known as WightLink is a short and frequent crossing to Yarmouth from Lymington, easily accessible from the roads if travelling via car. Although SouthWest trains do operate a service which stops at the Lymington Port.

Lymington is also great by car to travel around the Dorset coast. Famous for its beautiful coved beaches and un touched landscape. Other routes with Wightlink are Portsmouth to Ryde and Portsmouth to Fishbourne. All sailings are around 35 minutes.

Once at the port of Lymington you can choose to travel by car allowing upto 4 passengers, or by foot. There is ample car parking at the port, if you do decide to travel as a foot passenger.  The ticket office will provide you with on the day travel and pre-booked tickets.

Once on board the ferry you can enjoy the comfortable seating in the lounge which has window views for all to enjoy. The journey lasts approx 30 minutes, enough time for you to go to the shop/kiosk, thus providing hot and cold drinks, light snacks, newspapers and small souvenir gifts.

The top deck also has outside seating and areas for viewing, providing the weather conditions are good this is a nice place to relax and enjoy the fresh air. The views of the Needles can be seen and is well worth a visit on arrival at Yarmouth. However not for the faint hearted if going by tour bus as the views are breathtaking - literally! The tour bus can be boarded at Yarmouth Port and tis ideal for getting to know the area before you explore by foot. The bus tickets are hop on and off whenever and wherever you like, also they can be used on other local buses and not just the guide buses, as these do only run every 30 minutes, this being great value for money.

The Red Jet Hi-Speed ferry is a passenger only service and takes 22 minutes. Comfortable seating areas with refreshments are available on-board.
