Dover to Calais is the most popular route offering 23 crossings a day, and a 1hr 30mins crossing makes this an ideal getaway. However the other routes are not as frequent; Hull to Rotterdam and Zeebrugge operate 7 crossing a week, and travel time is between 11-14 hours depending on which ferry you take. Portsmouth to Bilbao offer up to 3 crossings a week! and the travel duration is approx. 33hrs 45mins, with cabin facilities on-board to assist you in a good night's sleep.
Pets are allowed to be taken on-board on the PETS Passport Programme and must adhere to all regulations prior to departure. Your cat/dog must have been vaccinated against rabies at least 6 months prior to departure. There is a small extra premium for pets to travel and they must remain in your vehicle or if you are a foot passenger travelling to Calais then your pet must be in an appropriate sustainable container. Hull to Zeebrugge and Rotterdam Pets are only allowed with a vehicle and will remain in an air conditioned kennel through-out the journey. Unfortunately the Portsmouth to Bilbao route does not allow pets.
